You could always start it with the valvecovers off and inspect the injector oil discharge spouts for consistent oil discharge. You could also see if any poppet screws are loose and measure the armature plate clearance. You have to remove the 4 torx screws holding the solenoid on. The poppet screw is right in the middle underneath. The clearance can be checked by measuring the clearance between the injector body and the square armature plate.
