I'm getting ready to get some new injectors for my truck. I was going to get stage one's but then I saw there is a stage 1.5. I know the 1.5 will have slightly more power than the 1, but I don't want to have to worry about accidentally smoking the hell out of the people behind me. I will more than likely get them through unlimited diesel (By the way, do they still have that lifetime warranty going on?) Since they are the cheapest... I'm cheap... So, which of those injectors will not smoke as much?

The stage 1's are 'A' code injectors that are 160cc with stock nozzles. The stage 1.5's are 'A' code injectors that are 160cc with 30% over stock nozzles. Unlimited Diesel's website says that the stage 1.5's will smoke less, but have more power. I have heard from friends that the 1.5's actually smoke more. Also, will I need to have custom tunes to run the A code injectors?

Unlimited Injectors are arguably the best 7.3 injectors money can buy.

If you run Gearhead tuning with Unlimited Injectors both of those two will work tirelessly until you're a 1000% satisfied.

I wanna know why everybody (several other forums), always says Matt's tunes don't make the best power. Or they are low on power. Has anybody ever done a back to back dyno session to prove this??

Okay. Thank you. Will I need custom tunes anyways to run the injectors? Or can I run them without anything else? The website says nothing about custom tunes for the stage 1 and 1.5's, but on stage 2 it says they are needed? These are "A" code injectors.

Jason I have track times that back up my statement. Multiple passes on the same day same track all mods being the same. My dyno proven tunes were 3-5 tenths faster ever pass. Seat of the pants feel no comparison. Just my experience. Not saying they were bad tunes. Just wanted more

You will need custom tunes to run the Stage 1's or 1.5's on a super duty as they are both single shot injectors.

As for the smoke level, that is going to be relative to who's tuning you are using. We recommend Matt @ Gearhead for all of our injectors. He has worked diligently to provide tuning with the most power/lowest smoke level possible.

We do still offer our limited lifetime warranty, I do not see a change in our warranty policy in the future.

I had beans tunes, it dynoed 458hp, I upgraded turbos, swapped to gearheads, and made 390 hp. Same dyno, themprature was within 5 deg along with humidity.

Okay. Could these injectors be ran for a while without the tunes? Or is it absolutely required?

What is your purpose for new injectors? Are your old ones worn out? Are you looking for more power?

Is the truck currently tuned? Tuning is going to play a huge role in the overall performance and driveability of your truck. I would suggest starting with a tuner and then making your injectors choice based off their suggestions.
