I put one of these babies in last night Holy crap!!!! My truck has NEVER started this fast, even after installing new starters in the past. I would suggest this to anyone that needs a starter you will thank yourself

I put one in my truck awhile ago. I just got mine from Autozone cause I was in a hurry. I think the only thing I had to do was drill out one hole in a wire connector to fit over the stud.

I have the DB on mine with no issues so far. Mine is an older one before guys started reporting problems.

The SD starter is half the price and the only changes are the SD starter only uses two bolts instead of three to mount and you need to get a M6 flange nut and ream the existing wiring lug out to fit. Otherwise, you do what I did, go to the hardware store just for a 20 cent nut. The old OBS starter stud is a M5. I bought a SD starter (did not come with a M6 nut) from the dealer and asked for a 02-03 7.3 starter. I have a DB as a spare but don't know if its one of the good ones or the later not so good ones.
