Your black cluster has the button you push in right on the gauge face. So yes it will plug in and work, but you wont be using any of the stored functions in the cluster. Also XL trucks w/o power windows and locks, if you swap in a fancy cluster like the Lariat/KR or one from a XLT your dome lights will work with the door switches(door ajar etc).
