poor maintenance, poor maintenance blah blah cracked this cracked that, melted this, melted that...all reverts back to "poor maintenance" what are we taling about here? Failures that are straight up the trucks fault because thats how much of POS's they are? Or failures because it was the d'bag owner(s) (fleet trucks also) that didnt take care of the damnn trucks. Im preeetyyy sure if you take care of a truck, it will take care of you. If you constantly push the limitations (stock or juiced out) youre bound to see issues. Period. My 03 just turned 152k and has been deleted and tuned since 135k. Stock, until now, the "worst" motor 6.0 has the original injectors, hpop, transmission, turbo, everything. Not a problem besides a FICM at 115k. She gets taken care of. My buddies 06 on the other hand that hes had only for a year, has the same tune as mine, has had 3 turbos, 3 injectors and he just smoked the transmission and has had blown HG for about 8 months now. People can sit there and say all they want to about these motors taking a crap. Its 90 percent the way its taken care of, 10% emissions related if you cant do anything about it. Just my 2c And I understand you can get a straight up lemon out of the lot just because that thing happens, but its rare. Just like the guy that said he hated his 6.7 had 5 turbos and whatnot. Ok, well, 5 turbos is quite a bit. WHat the hell was he doing with it number one. Number 2, what was causing this and what DIDNT the warranty shop do to make sure it didnt happen again. Theres alot of variables to something as out there as his truck got. There was a guy on here who has 400k on his 6.7 towing from Tx to ND 3 times a week and he has no issues. Im pretty sure it gets serviced the way its supposed to be, and whoever is doing it, is doing it right.
