In 2002 I bought the switch from ford, changed it out no problem. 6 months later probably related to previous switch problem and or 100 watt bulbs my harness on the back of the switch melted. Back to ford they sell the pigtail soldered it in one wire at a time bases on pin location, not color, problem solved. If your not familiar with the obs headlight switches there is a recessed button on the bottom of the square switch body, you push it in with a small screwdriver or straight pick to pull out switch knob.
