Missing

At slow speed the engine seems to be missing and a couple of times while almost stopped or idling it has shut off but will restart immediately.
I’m thinking IDM or is it more likely something else?

Sounds like it could be CPS. You need to pull codes.

No codes... and the CPS is a few months old, but an Orilly cheapo though.

Use only Ford or International CPS.

Hummmm..... new CPS did not help.

What did you use to pull codes? A cheap parts store code reader will not read codes on a 7.3 as they are not OBD II compliant.
