On the drain I had to shorten the adapter that goes into the block about a 1/2 inch because as you can see in the picture above the oil would have had to go up hill before it could drain back into the block. Thats not good because that would cause a drain restriction with the oil pooling in the low spot. All though mine was a one of the first 2-3 kits made and this may have been remedied by now. On the factory pedestal drain I cut the tower off flush with the notch and threaded a short fat bolt in there with a washer and sealed it with Ford Grey RTV. I wouldn't recommend that as a permanent fix but it was all we could find at the time ( late night ), I like the freeze plug idea 91turbogsx used much much better. [/QUOTE]
