Figured I would start a little build thread to track my progress, in February 2014 I purchased this 2005 Extended cab long bed, 4x4, xlt, f250. The truck had 228,000 miles on it and was a work truck most of its life, so it needed some love. Here is a picture when I purchased the truck First thing I did was the basics, took care of anything broken on the truck. Tinted the windows, install a pair of 08+ mirrors, and I purchased 4 used tires(used, but atleast they all matched and were slightly safer than what the truck came with) I installed a set of ISSPRO a gauges that I found on a good deal. Wanted to change it a bit, so I went through the work of installing a lariat cluster, function buttons, compass module, and auto dimming mirror. At the same time I also cut the cover on the ignition cylinder so that I could use the 11+ keys, installed a factory brake controller, and upfitter switches. I came across a good deal on a upgraded turbo(traded my stock turbo on a friends truck he was trading in) it was described as a 65mm R.C.D. Built turbo that was purchased with a set of injectors. From my research RCD did sell a 65mm VGT turbo, but I have failed to find any information on inducer/exducer size or what exactly has been done to the turbo. I wanted to level the truck by lowering the rear 2", so I had shorter ubolts made and removed the factory 2" block. I had been wanting a set of wheels since I purchased the truck, but had been putting it off because of the cost. I happen to have a customer that wanted to trade this set of 20x9 KMC XD 799's for some work I did on his excursion. I wrapped them in 305/50/20 Nitto 420s Here is what I have as a parts pile for upcoming modifications. Ford updated pushrods 8 glow plugs Arp studs Felpro headgaskets Felpro intake gaskets CCV re-route EGR delete 7.3 wire loom Degas bottle Riff Raff Boots and clamps S&B intake Driven diesel regulated return The things I have left to do before I'm ready to throw all this in is O-ring heads Fass Beans sump
