Hows it going guys? My name is Kyle, and I'm a proud new owner of a 2008 King Ranch with all the bells and whistles besides a sun roof... I'm pretty new to the diesel world so dont mind some of my stupid questions. I actually purchased it off a fellow member and got a great deal on it. It has high miles, (220k) but I know he took very good care of it. It has been fully deleted, intake, exhaust, spartan tunes etc etc. The transmission is being rebuilt right now as It just took a ####. I have a few questions.. For the transmission, Is it better to go with billet upgrades? OR can I just install heavy duty clutch plates and a high performance rebuild kit and be fine? I am pushing around ~600hp and want to be able to take it to the track from time to time. I also use the truck every weekend to tow a 2-car fifth wheel. I have the copper/tan color combo. not a HUGE fan of it, would have rather had white or black, but couldnt pass up the deal. I'm going to keep the truck relatively stock as far as exterior, maybe color matching the grill and aftermarket front and rear bumpers. Anyone have this color combo? What have you guys done as far as lift of exterior mods with this color? I plan on installing a lift kit with bigger tires. Sense I tow, would it be not smart to go with a 6" lift? Would I be better off going with a 4"? If so, which company would you guys recommend? Could I purchase after market traction bars to keep axle wrap to a minimum? I don't really have a spending limit, I just want the truck to be able to tow up to 24,000 lbs but be able to take it the the track once in a blue moon. Thanks again in advance for all the answers i get. Sorry again if the questions are stupid!!
