Hello everyone! I am pretty close to pulling the trigger on a new turbo and I'm seriously considering a Bell BASB. I am slowly putting together a nice towing setup for pulling a 5'er. What I am thinking is buying the turbo now and running it with my stock injectors with a hydra. Eventually I would like to pick up a used forged rod motor and then some injectors (175/80 probably). Then I will just swap everything over. I want a fun DD that will tow anything I put behind it without really killing the longevity of the truck. I know the Pius chargers are a little more spendy than other options but I really want to switch to a t4 mount and a want a turbo that spools quick but has low drive pressure thus keeping egt's low while towing up steep grades. I have heard that his chargers are really well designed and I like the idea of supporting someone like him by buying one of his turbos. Ultimately don't want to be more than 400 to 450 hp. My boss has offered to pick up the bill for the charger minus the mount. Current turbo is fine other than probably needing pedestal o-rings so I am not under the gun to secure the t4 mount right away. Still need to pick up an egt gauge and hydra anyway. I recently read a thread over in the OBS section where someone was running one with 175/80's and he was extremely happy with the performance of the turbo. Just want to know if anyone else has had any experience with this turbo using a similar setup. Truck has a ZF6 too so that is another reason why I want something that spools quick. Last thing, who would be the best vendor to go with? Thanks!
