Anyone who says they're no advantage of the ZF6 over a ZF5 is dead wrong. Try towing with both of them. That low gear in the 5 is a compound low, the 6 it's a true low low gear for pulling. I'm setting the truck up for heavy towing, so the low gear is what I need. The gear ratios are close, but not exactly the same too, the ZF6 turns aprox 2-300 less RPM's at the same speed as a ZF5 in OD [/QUOTE]
