The fuel system is low pressure (65 PSI or so), it is supplied to each injector. Each injector is a electronically fired hydraulic pump. The injectors see this hydraulic pressure, they see this fuel pressure, all of a sudden, they get an electical pulse from the IDM to fire. The hydraulic oil (HPOP oil), sends the fuel to the cylinders at the needed super high (no clue, but it will cut you type pressure) pressure to make the motor happy.
