The hydraulic fluid is engine oil, it is supplied to the HPOP by the LPOP. It is from there, sent to the injectors at a high pressure (1000 - 3000 PSI) OK, not actually correct, but you get the message. The injectors see this hydraulic pressure, they see this fuel pressure, all of a sudden, they get an electical pulse from the IDM to fire. The hydraulic oil (HPOP oil), sends the fuel to the cylinders at the needed super high (no clue, but it will cut you type pressure) pressure to make the motor happy. The IPR (Injection Pressure Regulator) is the valve that controls the pressure of the oil going to the injectors. It is a valve that sends it to the injectors or bleeds it back to the sump. [/QUOTE]
