I changed back to the Rotella 15w40 i saved and did a test drive. I hocked on our cargo trailer (boondocker) and put on some highway miles and the steepest hill in our area at WOT. No CEL or codes! The engine and injectors definitely are more quiet now. Is it all the oil's fault? I can't say that at this point. Before the injectors were installed, I had a compression test done. All cylinders were within 5 psi of 360. That's for a long block with 74,000 miles on it. BUT, the truck did sit for all most 5 years when I purchased it. I have put on about 550 miles since.
