Can ya'll turn the old style evolutions into an ficm programmer? Got one for just gauges

order mine thursday night, hope i filled out the Tire size before and after part right, i had 18s on the truck, but switch to 20's with 305/55/20. idk if that changed the gear ratio so i just put 3.73.

Changing tire size won't change the rear end gear ratio

That's what i thought. I was thinking revs per mile not gear ratio. Cant wait to get tuner in. Ordered it Thursday night. Gonna do the rollback once I see how I like the tunes..question for the guys who have it already. Once I load the ficm tunes on can i unhook the programmer? Since I have an insight cts for gauges already. Or does the programmer have to be plugged in in order to keep the ficm tune on.

It's just like any handheld tuner.... Load an remove... Don't have it but thas hat I got from it!

Its not like an sct. Its similar to an edge cs. Its an actual pod that shows pics. That's why I was confused on what to do

If a FICM fails and has to be rebuilt do you lose the tune?

It is VIN locked to the first truck. However, we will reset your programmer one time to work with a new truck if you provide us with a receipt showing that you purchased a new FICM.
