I'm looking to do the same thing.:grouphug: LOL I'll jump on the VGT bandwagon. Mostly because of what I have seen that they are capable of and have experience with. However, I will also agree that it is pretty much impossible to beat the bang for the buck performance of a S366 with divided up-pipes. Especially if you have any fabricating and wrench turning skills at all as well as the requisite equipment. I would probably lean more towards this direction as well if I didn't know (for the most part) what is involved in building a big VGT and having the resources to making it work great. I will say though (just as food for thought), that (with my Stage 3) I could have the transmission in OD with the converter locked at 50 mph (1500 rpms) and I could get it to light off and build boost (basically the same behavior as a stock turbo at 1250-1300 rpms). I have yet to see any single non-VGT (that is capable of making similar power) have that sort of characteristic. I think the bottomline though is that with the same size injectors, a "MTW VGT turbo" will make more power than a "non-VGT turbo" and have better street mannerisms (of course which is subjective IMO). This of course, isn't to say that the non-VGT turbos are garbage or not worth comparing or not more cost effective. I just really think it comes down to personal preference and if running a little bigger injector and paying a little less for the turbo that might not be quite as streetable is ok with you, then go for it. It's all good. :toast: Hope this makes sense. Best of luck OP with the build.
