First someone has been in here before and replaced a clutch & rear main seal. The "uneducated" person TURNED a DM flywheel and reinstalled it!:doh: I'm not certain where the oil in the damp area to the left/drivers side of the motor is coming from? Both oil galley plugs are dry, and I've already replaced the passenger side. My impact wouldn't budge the one on the drivers side.:mad: Still gonna get it while the trans is out. Yes that is black silicone all along the edge of the pan and behind the ring that goes over the rear main, and there was a wear ring on the crankshaft. I have a very knowledgeable Ford mechanic friend who has the special tools to do a rear main seal and will do it cheap, I'm thinking I'm just going to have him make a house call while its apart. Thoughts?
