With this option, there is an amplifier mounted up by the accelerator pedal under the dash. It has it's own separate harness. Usually when putting in an aftermarket head unit, you would remove the amp and its harness and re-route the remaining factory harness back up to the radio opening (at this point it would be the same as a factory truck without the premium sound and you can use the readily available pigtails to adapt the head unit to the factory harness).
