I have seen way more than just one that changed idle when unplugged and still was bad and the issue. Maybe with the OEM Fords its not as much of an issue like that but with these China knock offs from the chain stores and Ebay they seem to have all sorts of weird issues when they go bad. Not to mention I have seen people go thru 3 before getting one that worked right and even then they seem to go bad way faster.
