All, how difficult would it be to pull the down pipe and remove the up pipe section in order to weld a plate in there to block of the egr cooler as a band aide till I get an oil cooler and egr delete. Reason being, Friday the 13th struck the 6 oh earlier and I'm assuming the egr valve failed causing the coolant to boil (The coolant level in the degas was higher than in previous days). Luckily I only drove about 5 miles home from work and noticed the issue. There is an exhaust shop I can take the up pipe to in town and have a plate welded in. Really dont want to pull the turbo till next weekend when I head home where all my tools are and I have an oil cooler to install.
