removing the factory radio?'s

need input from someone who has pulled the factory unit from the truck. I wondering how the factory faceplate comes off. I know on my 06 it was just a matter of popping out a few clips. However, the one in the 08+ are a little different story. Just wondering if the plates for the sync, 4x4 switch, etc need to come off first or if the whole thing comes off together. Thanks for any input.

To get the finish plate off you need to take a small screwdriver and pry where the adjustable pedal is, and on the other side where the aux input is. Behind the panels, there's a 7mm bolt on each side. The 4x4 and all the other switches come off like a 06 to remove the cover. Disconnect all that's attached and there will be snap clips around it, so just pull and you'll be there. Hope this is what you were looking for.
