Replacing AC condenser questions

I'm replacing the AC condenser in a 99 F350. The genius that took it out before I bought it didn't cap the lines to the compressor, so my question is do I need to replace compressor and flush the lines real good or can I hook it up as is?

how long has it been apart? has any water got in the lines?

I'm guessing for awhile, would be a good bet that water has gotten in there from time to time

Better replace the compressor then
