Ok after the TCM failure I got discouraged and freaked out..lol After thinking about it, and seeing that a 6.4L won the diesel power challenge, again! I realized I owe it to the blue oval faithful to finish my truck the way I had originally intended. The build is back on!

It is not a crazy build by any means. Just looking for 500 to 600 rwhp. i want a reliable tow rig and a truck I can run down the track every once and a while. Plus the suspension upgrades via Icon Vehicle Dynamics. I have the Spartan tuner. Next is a Banks intercooler and egr delete once my warranty is up. what ever it takes to get to the hp numbers i am looking for

You already have 500 horsepower. Like Scotty said, with a 71mm and some No Limit goodies, you'll be over 600 horsepower with a big tune.

do you have to replace them both or can you just add the 71mm?
what kind of pressure gains would I see and will it spool up faster?
I would also assume that head studs would need to come first?

You can just replace the low pressure. I've heard it spools faster than stock and drops egts a lot. Id recommend studs
