It certainly does work as I had already know people that have done this. It is done in a number of gasser setups with even turbine housings casted with the WG mount integrated into it. They are for those with limited room. But its a trade off and not ideal. I believe a few were tested back to back but it was small cu inch gas engines. Maybe the effects are lessened on big cubic inch high boost diesel engines as after all we are bleeding off far less than the lower boost gas engines run.
