I was going to take off from a stop sign the other day, pushed down on the throttle took off but the truck sounded odd, look down at gauge cluster at rpm it was at 1700 rpm I let off the throttle and the truck sputters and dies. Replaced cam sensor still the same. Noticing that when the truck sounds funny it blows more smoke than usual.

Check your fuel pressure at idle and at WOT if you can. Does it do it with the chip removed? CEL on? Cheers!
