[QUOTE="Hotrodtractor, post: 290455, member: 25"] How about giving us the turbo rule you want to run under so we can have a better discussion? a 76/83 S400 based turbo is a street charger.... an 88mm turbine wheel is better, a 92mm turbine wheel is as big as you can go in the T4 foot, and the 96mm turbine wheel is as big as you can go in an S400 without more headache. There is a ton more variables that are needed to be considered other than "what is a good turbo?" - like RPM, fuel delivery capabilities, compressor wheel design, turbine wheel design (If you think compressor wheels are voodoo..... turbine wheels are worse....). Max effort 2.6 charger in a Borg Warner platform is an S400 based charger with a the billet wheel of choice for your builder in about an 80mm range, clipped for protrusion, 96mm turbine wheel with a relatively tight A/R. Holset platform is based off the HX60 with similar features. I've threatened a few times in the last year to build a compact GT55 to 2.6 specs..... great turbine wheel design, and the compact version that is available in the aftermarket is physically smaller than the S400 which gets around some of those crazy compressor cover rules about outside diameter trying to keep "big" chargers out of the class. Obviously I don't know of anyone truly running a cutting edge 2.6 charger on a 7.3, so you are somewhat on your own, but if it were me, I wouldn't hesitate to do it if that was what I was after.
