2 long screwdrivers or pry bars, a good selection of swear words, and some sweat. It's a beotch to get off the first time. Please tell me you removed the nut first... lol.

Ordered one from local Fastenal $22 because they had to ship it from an Indiana store but it will be here tomorrow and I can fix my clutch. I was afraid Summit wouldn't get here by Friday. I'll post the part # for others when I get the reciept tomorrow.

One word of advice- when you cut the eye off the master cylinder rod, make your cuts so that you are cutting parallel to the rod, not horizontal to it. When I did this fix I just cut as close to the bottom of the eye as I could, and I ended up with a setup that was too short. I could get the heim joint connected to the swing arm, but it wasn't enough to disengage the clutch all the way or let the truck start. Took it all back apart and had to clock the swing arm one tooth forward, then everything was too long so I had to trim the master cylinder rod down slightly. Huge pain and took a while to find out what the issue was.
Long story short... measure twice cut once!

I'm Anticipating this already as the heim I ordered from Fastenal has a much longer shank than the eBay job. Definitely worth mentioning though!

With the longer shank pay close mind to clearance with the neutral safety switch.

Well I got mine fixed today and it went a lot smoother than I expected. Fastenal Part # 4195052 3/8 Heim with a long shank that I had to shorten, and I drilled and tapped for a set screw. Got it done in probably an hour & half taking my time. Was afraid I cut too much off the master cylinder shaft, but it all fell into place perfectly.

Started up just fine, but my clutch still disengages and engages almost on the floor. :fustrate: Truck started right up at the shop afterwards, but when I went out later with friends 3 times it almost wouldn't start. I had to slam the clutch pedal sometimes 2 & 3 times to the floor to get it to start the last couple of times before I came home.

Going to pull the swing arm back off tomorrow and set it a tooth forward from where it is.
