I soldered them into place and use my new batch of glue filled shrink tube (Love that stuff) then wrapped it with friction tape and stuffed it in the stock plastic tubing. There was also a braided cable in there, I can only imagine it it was from the factory to pull the wiring up through or something. I just cooked a little bit and looked around and left it in there.
