Water in fuel drain stripped

A buddy of mine just stripped his WIF drain plug..he thought maybe the threads of plug were the problem and tried the updated drain...didn't help. Can he buy the cover that the drain screws into or do you have to buy the pump to get that?

yes you can buy the cover and gasket separate.

If the threads aren't completely ruined. Why not just chase those out or retap and get another plug. Either way the cover will come off and a new gasket will be needed.

I got the part #.....but whew! Thats too much for a little cover. I think the tap and plug idea is what I'd go for.
