Depends on if you consider bang for your buck cheap lift or quality for dollar. Icon cannot be beaten, especially when paired with OUO suspension accessories

i have no experience with any lift kits, but from what i read, it seems, icon, carli, pmf, OUO, all make good quality lift kits. honestly I think the only difference you will find is the shocks, and the valving with them. I could be wrong, but I don't think you are gonna find that a carli lift is built much better then the Pmf or Icon. shocks will really make the difference from my research. but hopefully someone will chime in here. I'm quite confused as to which mild lift I should go with as well. I think pmf's 4.5" lift with a 4 linked front and custom valved shocks on 37's with traction blocks and dual steering stabilizers should go down the road nice and handle a little offroad action.

they have variations in spring rates, bushings, bushing sizes, rod end sizes, and shock valving. honestly speaking, how much off road use is it going to see and what type of off roading will it be? and what are your long term plans for the truck, big power, pre runner, big and pretty, ect. icon is pricey IMO. its a great kit, but far too much money for what it is. carli is a very high quality system, but if you want a 4 link youll need to hit up OUO as well. so thats way more money on top of an already pricey kit. so basically you have to consider the main use of the truck. throw budget out the window.

I don't want to come off as arrogant but I need to clear a couple things up..

Dave never has, and never will make a 4 link system. Everything OUO builds, is based on a 3 link design. It's been said a couple times and I keep getting calls on a kit that does not exist. Also, Dave does not build anything smaller than a 10" lift at this time. We normally use a base icon lift, and then OUO Components to "Dress Up" the system.

Also, for articulation, a 3 link will out perform a 4 link in any circumstance. Remember, the stock system was designed around a radius arm, and a 4 link actually will tighten up and somewhat limit travel of the front axle, where as the radius arm style set up will have the full arc of travel, essentially going as far as the other components allow it to go, ie, sway bar, track bar...

Icon mixed with OUO

I run the 4.5" kit from icon, upgraded to icon coilovers up front, icon piggy back shocks with cdc valve on all 4 corners, OUO traction blocks, OUO tractin bars, OUO ALAs, icon adjustable track bar and dual steering stabilizer.

Also added the TEI spacer so now I'm at 5.5"

So far I'm enjoying my icon lift. Its very smooth compared to stock. My front is all icon and I have ouo components installed also. I'm with Jared, I think ouo compliments the icon system quite well.

ICON or Carli, both can be had in various stages to fit most budgets. Quality is top notch as well. You get what you pay for when it comes to lifts. I used to run a crap pro comp lift, switched to an ICON lift and it was a night and day difference. I'd never cheap out on a lift again after seeing how big of a ride difference there was.
