White haze at idle

I just finished putting in injectors after I hydrolocked the engine due to a bad injector o ring and washer. I got everything reinstalled today. It smoked some at startup (which was expected because when I removed the injectors oil ran into the cylinders) but it continued to put out a very light haze after that. The engine is leaking some coolant into the oil through the oil cooler, I believe. I'm managing this by changing the oil every 700 miles until I can have the oil cooler tested. So what can I do about the haze? I only let the truck run for about 10 minutes. And what else could be leaking coolant into the oil besides the oil cooler?

Thanks!

You most likely have oil/fuel in the exhaust from the injector changeout. Just run it and see if it goes away.

Okay. I let it run for about 20 minutes this time. It starts out with no smoke then it begins to haze a little. Also, the truck had lost compression in a cylinder before I fixed it and it was blowing out dense white smoke because the diesel wasn't burning. Could this haze that is has now be from some fuel in the exhaust that is being burned off slowly? It makes since to me since the haze doesn't start till after I let it idle for about 5-10 minutes. Hopefully the excess fuel in the exhaust is just heating up and slowly burning off causing the haze. I'm going to do the oil cap compression test since the cylinder that lost compression was on the side of the oil fill cap. I'll let you know if it passes in the next hour or so. Any other information/probable causes at this point would be greatly appreciated!

How did a cylinder lose compression, and what did you do to fix it?
You did purge the cylinders of oil and fuel after installing the injectors, correct?

When I put the injectors during rebuild a copper washer fell of the injector. Then the compression gasses tore that injector's middle o ring. This made the engine blow raw fuel out the exhaust and eventually hydrolocked the engine. I pulled the injectors and had them checked to make sure the one wasn't filled with carbon. They came back fine. I cranked the engin over and blew most of the oil and excess fuel out. I put them back in, this time using petroleum jelly to keep the washers on.

It still sounds like fuel and oil in the exhaust to me. It will take a bit of warm up to heat the exhaust enough to get things smoking. If it isn't strong dense fuel smoke and there isn't a knock or ping then you need to go drive it hard for 30 minutes or so to burn it off.

So you hydrolocked the engine as a result of fuel dumping into the cylinder.
Did you do a compression test to ensure that you didn't bend a rod as a result?

Go drive her hard for a while and see if the smoke clears up. However I wouldn't rule out low compression on that cylinder.

I hook mine to 18k, and drive it like I stole it for 20-30 miles, usually gets the air out, and clears anything in the downpipe, lol.
