Should my AC pump be cycling on and off fairly constantly, even while the heater is on? It would make sense when using AC, but not heater

For what it's worth, I run an RCD triple disk in my truck and absolutely love it. It's also a new unit so there was no core needed compared to some others that are reman units and require your core. It was a huge improvement with my stock trans and still works awesome with my Elite stage 4.

I read on here some place where a guy was talking about being able to lock his converter with a toggle switch. Can a guy explain how to do this? It would be nice to be able to do it while towing. Thanks.

The Valvolene dex merc 3 does say it's compatable with transmissions requiring SP and or LV fluids.

I should also note, my stock engine fan will be completely removed.

Can anyone give a break down of the wires going in to my fan? There's a plug at the top of the radiator. I'm installing an electric fan kit with a controller. What fluid y'all running in your built transmissions? Just got my Elite stage 4 with tow upgrade in and am ready to fill with oil. In 08 Ford ran the LV? Then switched to SP? In 09.. I may be backwards on that but you get the idea.. Not sure which to go with and of course Elite is closed today.

Gearhead here. Love it! Matt's good about making changes if you desire also. Mine locks in 2nd on out every time. Only down side I can see to the Tuning over a switch is if you happen to lift quick during a pull, the converter may unlock then not re lock if you mash it back down. Ide say try it...

Well we built a 6.4 for a guy, all stock with a Minimax. One of his employees hooked a 40,000 lb goose neck to it and was runnin 96 mile an hr, said the computer when the motor locked up. Pulled apart and the piston melted over the rod. Just curious where to set the de fuels so that don't happen...
