I may have narrowed the noise down now that I was able to lay under the truck while he cycled back and forth from drive and reverse. Seems to be coming right from the middle of the driveshaft. There is nothing inside these aluminum drive shafts right?

If its not your everyday truck and you want something to throw some money at and have a blast I say a 6.4 fits the bill. Its crazy how much horsepower potential those trucks have. Then again im not sure if you want to keep it stock or kick it up

I would just use the motorcraft coolant, and I think we put 5 gallons back in after a radiator swap which will drain close to the same amount of coolant. How many miles on it? I might just save it in some new buckets and refill it up
