Well the ICP and connector were the problem. Everything is running well.

I drove it home tonight, ICP unplugged was doing 65-70 with no issues. CEL is on, I am sure that has something to do with the ICP. I have a harness in route, so lets hope this is the last of my recent bad luck with this truck.

Thank you for all the replies. I will provide more feedback once I get the truck back to the house and work on it.

So I think I might have this figured out. I found the adapter for my coolant bypass filter leaking near the ICP connector. I replaced the ICP two weeks ago, but if I disconnect the ICP it starts and does not die. I have never replaced the connector, but it seems I may have a problem...

Any info on cam and crank sensor replacement? I might just jump on this as it seems logical, I have no access to a scan tool and I don't trust the local Ford dealer. Perhaps someone can suggest a good place near the Wilkes barre area of PA, just moved here.

I appreciate all the post thus far, I do put an anti-gel additive during each fill up, The fuel pressure does not falter at all during the start stop process. It is like a key off scenario... everything stays on except the beast under the hood.

Familiar Problem With as many post that I seen on this I would of thought that someone could say yes... this did happen to me.

IPR only has 8-10k on it (replaced when I did new injector orings and HP oil rail seals). Truck runs great when running.

So I have seen this post on more forums than I care to count and none lead to an actual repair. This morning on the way to work my truck was running great and just randomly stalled. I pulled over to the side of the interstate and it started right up and ran great again. About 2 miles down the...

Gauge That is possible, it was new though when I installed it. I purchased a cheap one though through Glow Shift.

    Fuel Pressure

There is a pressure adjustment, I have adjusted but it does not effect measured pressure.

AD This is a replacement pump from AD with less than 3 hours on it, I have the same symptoms as the previous pump.

HFCM No, I have the factory HFCM bypassed with the installation of the AD II 165

    Fuel Pressure

Ok, I have had it with this problem. In December I started to have hesitation and idle problems at startup, accompanied by some surging at stop signs. I began with installing a fuel pressure gauge that showed a fuel pressure problem. First thing, I was on the line with Air Dog, replaced the...

    6.0hmy no start/ hard start

So to wrap this thread up, it ended up as injector o-rings. They looked good visually from an installed aspect. Was doing hpop seals and decided to go ahead and replace the o-rings on the injectors to be safe, as I pulled them apart I found 4 of the 8 with bad o-rings, and 2 more starting to...

    WTB: 08-13 Tailgate and bumper

I found these on CL the other day. Owner responded with a price for bumper and tailgate. http://scranton.craigslist.org/ptd/3876721868.html

@ Commandos888 - I am unsure of the flex lines that you are talking about, I have the W style manifolds and the standpipes along with the dummy plugs are new as part of this trouble shooting process. The base oil pressure is great, would this ball plug cause a hot start issue and allow a great...

    6.0hmy no start/ hard start

Do I need to replace the HPOP cover seal, I was able to get the orings for the HPOP discharge and would like to replace these. Seeing as it is late saturday and tomorrow dealerships are closed. I would like to dig in to see if these orings are the cause of my hot start, even though it is a...

    6.0hmy no start/ hard start

So I still have the truck along with the truck's problems. So I replaced the IPR and the problem remains (expensive shot in the dark). One thing I have found is the truck will start (barely) with a generous shot of ether. At this point I am at the point of breaking into the HPOP cavity, first...

    6.0hmy no start/ hard start

I hate to say it, but today may be D-day, Can't have a truck that won't take me to work. Time to trade it in, the IPR is weighing on me but I don't want to spend near 300 to replace something that is not the problem with no way of testing to verify.
