That's why the average age of guys or girls that do it are probably up in the 40s because they can afford it. Tractor pulling ull see a lot of older guys do it a lot more money in tractors. Yes you will never see a fraction of what you will have in it. Once you hook ur truck to a sled one time you will be addicted.

Thanks, it's the newest in the shed. Looks kinda hillbilly with the ratchet strap holding the weights on, lost the hold down the last day of fall.

Didnt even notice the strap to be honest. Truck will be an animal for sure.

We we're taking the valves out of the heads yesterday and found a problem.

Worked on the axles today. Have the Dana 60 apart and ready for the new gears

Have the Dana 80 started just have to move the spring mounts and move the drivers side shock mount.

I have to wait to finish the back axle when the trutrac comes in. since I have the one for a 3:73 and down, so it's not working to well with the 4:30 gears. Should have it about Tuesday or Wednesday. Going to try and sell the old one to recoup some lose.

It's got about 3k on it. Fit a Dana 80 3:73 and smaller, sells for $300.

What are you replacing? The gears or the whole diff?

Cool. I just bought an 80 to put in mine once I get the time and whatnot. My problem is I want to keep the factory 08 brakes and width. So I'm not sure as to what all I need to do to it.

It's a cab and chassis 80 so it's the right width I just had to move the spring mounts out an 1.5 inches and turn the shock mount around towards the back for the short bed.

Well sh!t. I hope the one I bought is a c&c too! Well 1.5 inches isn't too bad at all. I'm excited to see the end result of this build. It ought to be an animal! If I didn't fear the II pumps so much I would probably be copying you!
