Got a fresh set of turbos in to replace the 75/59 and decided to lose some sleep by polishing on the covers for awhile.

Didn't get to spend quite as much time as I had hoped, but definitely a improvement.

Hoping to get these on in time to hit a pull this weekend. :ford:

No secret squirrel stuff going on here..lol. These turbos did, inadvertently, end up with not "out of the box" size compressor wheels.

Only reason I haven't posted specs is I really want to see how they perform before putting it up. If they don't seem to perform any different then the 59/75 or 59/71 then posting the size, I feel, will only cause confusion.

Hopefully, I can pull with them this weekend and then post up.

Here's a video of the pull. It was good enough for 2nd, my dad was driving, and he admitted he let out at the end. :lame: I think he said he was short by a ft maybe 2.

Anyway, in all seriousness, the truck did well and has all year. This was the first time running it in GH race tune. All the other pulls have been in the street tune. I need to do some WG adjusting in the race tune, but it has drove to and home from every pull. He thought he hit the WG at around 275 but wasn't 100% on that.

That is always my goal for my trucks. To do well in whatever task I need it to do and see ZERO trailer time. I have nothing against the guys that do it, but it's just not my style. I like having the power and functionality. My fiancé drove this truck home 500mi from the beach, by herself, so it has served its purpose. IMO.

The size on these turbos was a 59/78. With the 59 having a different wheel then my previous Elite 59.

On edit : I hope the video works.

Looks like a solid run. I'd love to see how smokey it is. I bet pretty bad. When I pulled with the 76/59 combo and 110 HP (50% over) nozzles it was black as coal in the higher rpm's, but it ran really strong.

so those turbo's are really meant for 30% nozzles....so 60%'s get little toasty at the big end of the whatever track you are on.

I'm running Midwests 100% nozzles. I think this setup runs cleaner then the 59/75. It got smokey at the end of the track, or about the time he thought it hit the WG.

This setup for sure pulls harder, longer before it hits the warning set on the EGTs of the mini max.

I only have around 400mi. on this setup so I'll know more as I continue to drive it.
