another question about 3-5 shift flare

Mainly notice in under 1/2 throttle conditions or little over 1/2. Wot it mainly works ok but every now and then it won't catch the shift. I'm getting ready to start building a house so can't really drop coin on a rebuild right now. Did a filter and refilled with lv or sp about 15k miles ago. Read about some solenoid that can help. Everything else seems to work good, I'm just looking for a cheaper route at the moment to help get a few more miles outta her. Any suggestions?
