I've got a buddy who has a 09 dually and his is painted with a smoked clear. But I've never thought about doing it like this! Good idea! I might steal it! Lol

It looks way better when you open up the headlights and paint the housings. But the truck is so bad ass it doesn't bother me.

thanks man, and I disagree (hence the reason i did this way haha). when they're done inside they don't look near as smooth these appear to run with the body into the fenders. also you still have that huge reflector on the side, you have to decide what to do with the reflective part, and on and on and on but it's all preference anyway

I had a feeling that's the reason you went that route as it does blend in really well with the truck.

I agree with you here.. I was going to paint the inner housing..but after seeing your set up I prefer the way it blends like you said into the truck. I'll be doing the same as soon as I decide on a hood and paint both at the same time. I'm also looking at clear lens caps for the roof and side markers..then I'm done..for a while...lol

Well my Forces came in. Had the new tires installed and have been doing some Intense polishing the last 2 days. 2 wheels are done and the other 2 are nearing completion.

I bought this dually that supposedly needed 2 injectors, I ended up having to put a new engine in it but now she's running good! I've still got a few cosmetic things to do and add boxes and a transfer tank to the bed. Not bad for a work truck.

That's a nice flatbed! Looks nicely setup already, or at least an excellent platform to build from.

Saw on IG that you were going with the faceplates for them as well. After seeing how well you made those shine I don't think you should. They look way too good as it is.

And yea, I have the faceplates, I'm gonna run them without for a while, eventually I'll have the faceplates painted. Then I can add/stack anytime I want to. So a different look any day. They do look dang good without the faceplates!!

I wouldn't even wanna put those forces on. Way to sexy
Pitting them on is gonna be bitter sweet because I know they are gonna get dirty soon. Hahaha. I'll just use them as wall ornaments.

What are u using to polish them
Using a mix of things but I think I have a pattern worked out. I use Mothers Mag and aluminum poslish with the power ball to get the base good. (3-5 buffs) Then I Mothers Billet Polish by hand to try and get a good finish to it (2-3buffs). Then top it off with White Diamond aluminum polish and sealant by hand to finish and seal the wheel (1-2 buffs)

First time ever doing this tho, the seem to have came out decent. I'm sure they could be a lot better tho.

I normally use Killerwaxx but I'm all out.
