UCC is a game...with 3 parts. I guarantee nobody will run the same tune on the dyno, dragstrip and pulling track. If MPD has a big dyno only tune then who cares...so will everyone else out there.

Agreed. And a 76 won't flow enough with any amount of nitrous to compete in the dyno portion of the event.

Haha that sounded cocky. I meant they wouldn't Let me operate my truck on the dyno. They would gladly let me pay them to dyno it. But I'm not letting someone else blow up my Truck.

That is standard procedure, one event I was at, the dyno operator did let a couple of guys run their own truck, they did way worse then the dyno guy lol. a buddy of mine has a 1300hp el camino and they seem to do just fine with a little talking about how they want it run.

Oh I don't blame them one bit. We don't let people run their trucks on our superflow autodyne 849. I was just stating I wished I had been allowed to. Put numbers to track times that day

Sorry, I didn't know that you have your own dyno. Obviously you would be the exception to that rule. Makes more sense.

If the engine makes the power, truck doesnt matter, why even bother bolting it in a truck anyways? Just trailer it around to engine dynos around the country....

.... But Craig operated his truck on their dyno.... which isn't typical for Mass Diesel to do.

When you build a 1300 hp fuel only stock trans truck backed up with with a timeslip in the console from earico's GTR, you too can operate your truck on their dyno.

My problem usually is how filthy the dyno operator gets from jumping under trucks all day.
Or how certian ones are hard on trucks... like at DNR's event. If he is there this summer I'm not gonna put the new motor on the dyno. It was way too hot for no fan moving air to the trucks.

Dan has a really accurate dyno and does get good numbers out of trucks.. But yeah I've seen him run some trucks out well after they stopped making power.

I'm just going to take mine down the track.

I agree the numbers off his dyno are very realistic, unlike others. But I can't stand the way he is to other people's babies. He wanted Sellek to make another pass last year after the nitrous back fire.

There's a video out there somewhere of Erik Clausen almost clubbing dan with his bear paw because dan was determined to find the rev limiter.

X&M hot rods is in MI and they let you run your own truck, but it's not a loaded dyno. If you can keep your truck in gear it gives realistic numbers but some people were downshifting and spiking it last year. My truck made 690 on it and I think there were some 700hp 6.0's with an s366 and 205's because they couldn't stay in OD

I totally agree my 6.0 was super hot on the dyno and ended up puking coolant. He had a real hard time getting it to light and then still ran it out to 4500...:wtf:

Rich you are totally correct. My reply was simply saying I don't believe it yet and want to see that in person and I think the only tune anyone will back way down on is the sled pull. Also the truck will be on a different dyno. Granted if it don't make that power then they will blame it on the thin air.

I had my truck at a local dyno when I had it *** on tunes. He would make a pull with the truck then shut it off immediately with it still hot and in drive letting the dyno slow down with the motor off and everything still spinning made me cringe.
