I highly doubt Lavon made a hit on his big tune... I know when we were at Kilkare that day he was only on his 1400hp tune. He actually ran slower when they turned it up. And based on the track I highly doubt the trucks would hook if they ran that much nitrous at the track

Jesse is doing awesome....... but for ***s sake he needs to put a damn 4r in that thing. He'd be mid 9s on a clean pass with a 4r or 48re.

So who will dethrone lavon? It has to happen eventually.

I think there should be a rule that there needs to be a frame rail chassis under the body. IMO, you can't even call lavon's truck a truck. It just looks like a truck. The rest of it is a tube chassis with some axles underneath. I get that it's a don't hold back balls to the wall event, but to me it reaches a point where it's no longer actually a truck, it's just a motor and trans made by companies that don't even have the name of either of the big 3 on them. Maybe it's just me but it seems more like a pissing match on who has more money is going to do the best at this event.

You feel that way because your mind can't even grasp the intelligence required to engineer something of that calibre. Then again there is the whole driver skill factor that keeps the machine straight on the track and intact for the longest time on the pull track...

They have those events.... they are called every other ***ing drag race and sled pull that happens every weekend around the country. This event was to see who could build the baddest mother ***ker out there and Lavon took it to heart. The truck is a great example of someone being very passionate about what they do and the industry they chose to make a living from.

I have always been one of those guys that said "is it really a truck anymore" about certain vehicles but what Lavon is doing is just awesome. The brain power, time and money that went into that rig is just mind blowing.
I watched his video of him going over what they did to make it a "pull truck" with a smile on my face the whole time. I just think it is that cool.
I give him a lot of credit for what he is doing. It's great.

Definitely have to agree. The truck is a work of art honestly.

It'd be different if they were at the fair trying to pull in the "street" class.... no they're at a competition where there are almost no rules anything goes. Its exactly what the industry needed to light a fire under its ass and push the envelope.

Right I get it, I don't see it as a truck either but that's not what this event was about. I'm by no means a dodge fan but that truck is beautiful. The engineering behind it should inspire alot of people to start thinking outside the box. Many people excel 1 out of the 3 events but to have a truck that's so versatile and can be so competitive in all 3 is awesome.

This. Lavon took the event to heart and built a functional art project that is fuggin bad @ss. Hope he kills the pulls too.
However, the entire reason that the CCLB dually has impressed so many is that it is still a functional truck, as referenced earlier that he pulled a trailer into the hotel parking lot, posted a d@mn respectable dyno number, ran a hell of a drag time, and hopefully kicks posterior at the pull event. It'd be like someone running an actual stock car in NASCAR and being competitive.
