ya the theme is none of us check them until we have to cut them out when we replace transmissions LOL (atleast in my case we had to cut it out, makes it real fun with a short bed :morons
on mine as soon as we tried getting it out the clips snapped from rust. we ended up cutting them out and replacing with grade 8's. I also have a new custom way of keeping the nuts tight, in the form of a wrench that is stuck in there that just so happened to be the perfect distance to hold both nuts at once. next time i have to weld something ill just weld the damn wrench in there.
