The billet components are mostly what drives up the price. Makes sure you know EXACTLY what you're getting as far as that stuff goes when you buy a trans. Unless you can produce an equivalent amount of torque of a performance 6.4 in a 6.0, the comparison is useless as excessive torque is the primary cause of built trans failures. In the end, you get what you pay for. If a jasper trans is good enough , then save your money. If you have a powerful truck that you want to keep reliable it's gonna cost you, end of story.

i guess I have a decently high powered 6.0 as it sits (63 over s480 and "190's" that flow about 200). my warren diesel trans is sitting in the shop just waiting for time to put it in. will be going bigger on the injectors as well so I guess in theory it should be at or over 700 on fuel when it's done. once i get it in, it will be run at the track so we'll see how it holds up.

Yeah but it's not controlled by a Tcm so it's apples to oranges IMO. I'd like to see the 6.4 results !

700 6.0hp is what, 1200lb-ft? A 6.4 in OD can do 1200 at 600. I only own a 6.0 and not at a level of anybody posting but the 6.4 makes torque so much better than a 6.0 and on a higher hp/tq ratio.

Gotta say I disagree. I watched someone cheap out on a transmission. He literally had 7 transmissions in 4,000 miles.

Either way, if they prove themselves, then sweet. Until then, Idk if I would go as far as saying anything is better than paying X amount for a transmission.

Sweet!!! You pay $40 for a lion tat and you get a liger
