1959 Clipper Deluxe, Feather Craft boat..

I just picked up a 1959 Clipper deluxe, Feather Craft Boat, at a Auction today..:doh: Were is the ointlaugh: smily when you need it..

So this is another project for me.. I would like to restor it and get it as close to factory as I can.. But add my own twist to it.. It came with a trailer and a 50hp evinrude engine..

I got the boat started today. It needed a new key and switch.

I am realy suprised at how easy it started, (It has only been run two to three time in TEN years!!!!)

It took less then 4 second of cranking after i put new gas in, And It started right up a pured like a kitten!!!

BUT I still need some new parts for the controls, Right now it is locked in the forward gear. I think the cable is shot and one of the plastic peaces inside the control box is broke..

So we will see what I can find.

I still might take it out to the lake on sunday just to see how it runs in the water..

I have not made my mind up yet what i am going to do..

I might just sell it. They are a wast of money out here in north east MT.
