After having my 08 F450 with Innovative tunes, and Edge monitor totalled over a year ago I am ready to get back into the game and would appreciate it if i could garner some opinions on the route i plan to take, as well as any suggestions you may be able to give.

The truck I just purchased:
2008 F250 King Ranch with 22,300 Miles and BONE STOCK

Mods in order of planned:
1st: DPF Delete with 4" Exhaust, Intake (possibly S&B) and Innovative Tunes on the SCT TSC for Gauges (unless it would be better to go with the EDGE CTS for a monitor)

2nd: EGR Delete Kit -- Initially Without wastegate

3rd: Head Studs -- Since i have so few miles and the truck has been bone stock (driven by a 65 year old couple) i feel that the heads should be in good shape and I should be able to do (or have done) the cab on Head Stud Install Procedure

4th: Torque Convertor and Deep Trans Pan-- Hoping that by putting in an upgradded TQ Convertor I Can avoid some of the issues that may occur with higher horse setups

5th: River CIty Diesel Ported Intake Manifold

6th: New Down Pipe with Wastegate

7th: Increased Volume Fuel Rails, Airdog, & possibly a batmowheel (if worth it)

EVENTUALLY: Upgraded Turbos (want to stick with twins not a single) and a fully upgraded transmission (suncoast probably)

Please Pickout the flaws in my plan or note anything that I have left out.

Thanks!

Adam

Thanks for the heads up on the ported fuel rails!!

I'm also wondering--- Maybe if i have a good shop put in a shift kit from transgo along with a new TQ convertor i could get away with not having to do a whole new tranny.

Sooner or later you will have to do your trans if you dont get a built one. The stock clutches can only take so much and will be the weakpoint of the trans. There are lots of really cool options out there now for rebuilds.

Yea I'm afraid man but while ur in there u might as well get better clutches. I have a RCD TC and suncoast rebuild kit along with billet lower reverse hub and billet input shaft shifts flawless and would recommend it. Next order of business is headstuds for me. I'm eyeing up RCDs 74 mm for work stock should have a good 630 hp when I'm done. I want to stay in work stock so no single for me. Ur build looks solid

I think I would skip the rails too.
I drive hand shaker so I don't follow the autos real close but I was under the impression that if do the TC only, you might kill the clutches sooner. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will chime in.

Since you might do turbo's eventually, I would do the No Limits CAI and be done with it. The S&B wont likely be able to handle any turbo upgrade.

The S&B will not handle any turbo upgrades. I would do either the No Limit Intake or the AFE Stage II with Pro Gaurd 5 filter. The S&B has caused lots of filter minders to be pulled in even with just the 71mm atmo turbo.

Exactly, I haven't seen a S&B yet be able to handle a 71. I have the aFe St II with the 5r and haven't had a filter minder issue, but I decided to splurge for Christmas and ordered the No Limits. I don't need the No Limits yet (hopefully someday I will when I add some bigger turbos), but I am interested to see if it helps any on a small build like mine.
