You Da man Erik! Thanks for getting the rooms even tho you had to deal with that moron at Expedia :toast:

Well I just got two rooms at the Hampton, and this news of closure sure sucks.

***ing gov'ts involved in anything seems to be a shaky deal. I love how they tried to buy the land and the track but Az turns them down and now wants them off. The track is miles from anything and looks like a good area for a meth lab. Who knows what lame reasoning the state has for cancelling the lease and throwing them off.

We are certainly hoping that the track can get something worked out that doesn't involve the cancellation of our race! I posted contact information in another thread, any help sending emails or letters to our Governor would be greatly appreciated!

Mike...why the dislike of the NHRDA?

I still haven't been paid for the second place in the super diesel class two years ago...

There are more reasons... Lol

LOL, you out drove everyone that day Dustin.

-35? I can't even imagine how that feels. May have to defrost the truck and yourself, damn you have to work outside in that?

Got like 6 layers on. I'll take a pic of us monday night all bundled up. You'll laugh. All you can see is eye balls, exposed skill freezes in less than 2 mins at that temp

This will be my first time going, what do i have to do to take my truck down the track?

Depends on how fast it is, and if you have an oxygen extender like n2o. Correct me if I'm wrong somebody, but I believe 13.99 and faster requires a current DOT certified helmet, oxygen extenders require a fire jacket, and it gets more complicated if you go faster than 11.50. Every racer needs closed toe shoes, long pants, current drivers license, sign the waiver, pass track vehicle safety (no bald tires, cracked windshield etc. batteries properly secure, seat belt properly functioning, no leaks, and other common sense stuff.) And know proper track etiquette such as how and where to line up, when to leave, etc.

helmet at 13.99 .... nothing else unless you run faster than 11.49 then its a cage.

lol at oxygen extender.... if you have a nazi tech guy, he can say more than one power adder requires a jacket, i have yet to have ever run a jacket, actually gave it to ellerton brand new because i had never had to wear it.

Most of us from the shop are going to try and make it. Do they allow any camping at the track? If so, is anyone else gonna stay there?

I think im out...

Things are a little too sketchy right now at work to really be traveling 1000 miles one way, might need to save that money for when they want to send us home early...

Unless things change in the mean time i wont be attending.

:( sorry to hear that. This is one of my favorite races, and hanging out with friends is part of the reason I've enjoyed it so much.

According to Randy, they are moving forward with the event and operating as though the track will be able to remain open until April at this point (which is what the track is trying to negotiate with the State...on the off chance they can't negotiate a new lease).

That's what I was trying to figure out, how you cover up enough so you don't get frost bite.

That sucks, hopefully it works out. Just stop exchanging so many trucks and you'll be better off. lol
