Welp, Big suprise, I broke mine!!!

Did my EGR delete this after noon and it ended up just completly shattering!!! Rediculiously brittle.....So has anyone got a fix or update for these?? Or has anyone built one out of regular hose? I honestly dont feel comfortable puting another one in after seeing how crappy the stocker is. Dont see a problem in using heater hose, but getting a flange is the problem.....

Wouldn't a simple "Y" adaptor from Russell, or anywheres else work? Just use a -6 with male AN ends, and connect...

I used a nitrous "Y" adaptor to add my coolant filter return inline to the de gas bottle...no issues.

It would have ti be like -12 or so its like 1 inch heater hose. The problem is it bolts into the water pump housing

Couldn't you just take a EGR delete coolant plug and drill and tap it for a -12 fitting and go from there? I don't remember if they were the same size or not. Just a thought.

This is exactly what I was thinking, Just some heater hose and a brass Y, had something like that on many engines before.

No Joke there!!!!! Heck, they should throw one in on EGR deletes to improve on the design while your in there!

Well, I think they are the same size, looks like all the coolent lines that come from the pump housing are all very close in size.........which kind of gives me an idea.........Let me see if any of the coolent lines that were deleted have the same ends to maybe use it for a flange.....

I've got something drawn. Shouldn't take more than a week or two to get a prototype built. Dustin, you wanna test it?

In all honesty, Im suprised there isnt an aftermarket part for this. It suprised the heck out of me to see how brittle it is! And I havent looked up to see what a dealer wants for it, but about 30 bucks I whipped up something that has to be 1000x's better than the stock peice of junk!!!!

I believe retail on that part is $34.83 from Ford.

Another idea for Steve....aluminum pass side heater hose piece. Those break more than the damn y in my experience. Same size aluminum o-ring plug with a pre bent aluminum tube......or braided stainless hose.?

I broke mine Doing studs cab on. Ford dealer didn't have one. Cut it off about 2 inches above where it bolted down on top of the water pump and clamped a stainless braided hose to it and ran over to the heater box area. Works fine and looks good.
