Does this have a glow plug module, or a glow plug relay? Could be the module is bad, if it has one. Other thing to do would be to unplug the valve cover gasket, and run a test light from the positive battery cable to each glow plug pin on the valve cover gasket. They should all light up and... -

No, no idle haze in the giveaway truck, at least not an ungodly amount. There’s a little puff when it’s cold, at least for us, and then clears up pretty quick. If your compressor wheel hit the cover, chances are good that replacing is gonna be the cheaper route than rebuilding. Cam could be causing that, or a boost leak. If you had cut pistons, I’d blame the idle smoke on them, as we’ve got a truck right now that’s going the same thing. And my 6.0 does it a little when warm, a decent amount when cold. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 6.0 Tech

Do not recommend Choate Engineering
That sounds like a cop out in the head gasket, seems like they may be mixing and matching gasket sets they’ve got laying around or something. Several things do seem wrong about this. First being the heads weren’t oringed originally? Seems like they’re cheaping out there, at least in the 6.0...- 6.0 Tech

Are they running 2 different head gaskets in the motor? That seems very odd seeing as buying a gasket kit they typically match. Not a duramax tech by any means, but seeing as they’re different colors, that’s a big red flag there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 6.0 Tech

2006 F-250 6.0 Power Stroke – Brakes Applying Themselves After Replacing Hydroboost & Master Cylinder
Seen it a couple times, the pushrod in the hydroboost may be adjustable, pulled the master back a little and see if you can adjust the rod. Can’t remember what the clearance spec is, but 1/16 of an inch would probably be a good starting point. I had to do this on my fox body when I put a 95...- 6.0 Tech

As powerstroke cowboy said, that’s definitely a single. Being a 63mm, do you know the turbine housing size/turbine wheel size? 63 seems small for a 6.4, especially with the air these things can move. Little bit of white smoke with it being cold isn’t really anything to worry about. If it looks like you’re fogging for mosquitoes or something, then I’d worry. I use a Pittsburgh cherry picker both at home and at the shop, they work. Definitely not really worth 10x the price for a good one. One...- 6.0 Tech
