I don't have a welder. Its mounted for now but it needs to come forward some more. May have to just bite the bullet and buy the bulletproof brackets at some point. :fustrate:
Thought about coming off the bumper brackets, but it seemed like the bar would stick out the front of the bumper too far. My bar just has the post style brackets on either end.
Have a 20" light bar I'm trying to mount in the factory fog light location. Any advice on how you have mounted yours or brackets used? Pictures would help. Wanted to use factory fog light brackets, but doesn't appear that will work.
Thought about attempting this same project... Realized there is far more to it than originally considered. Pmf makes their short arm kit for $900. Going to have to go that route unless I find some revelation about fabbing up the bracket for the arms to mount at the frame. Measurements are vital...
My old Terra grapplers didn't do that, but now that I have about 3000 on my new trail grapplers I've developed a slight hop every now and then. I think its my shocks if that helps. I replaced my front two and still need the rears. Hopefully that solves it.
Yeah... The more I'm looking into it, the more I realize it won't be worth the effort. Looks like I'm just going to have to save my pennies and try to get a short arm kit from PMF. Really wanted to build one, but its too touchy to chance. Just got mad about wheel hop with the sled hooked up...
So... I'm tired of front wheel hop. Starting to look at the possibility of build my own 4 link. I've been reading a lot about them. Cheap kit is $900 and I just can't bring myself to that. So I'm thinking poly bushings at the axle, 2" .250 wall DOM for the bars, and heims at the frame. My only...
