    26120 beehive install issue

I tried the fit and it seemed sloppy. I solved it by ordering irate's springs. Their spring seat is 1.48" dia that will fit opposed to the 1.51" that is the size of the 4696 comp cam spring seat. So to those who say these are a drop in fit.......well they dont drop in a 1997 block. Just an fyi.

Rough running 7.3 and lacking power

Thank you for the help. And if you read my first post I did ohm out the harnesses. This is intermittent, like a loose wire shaking. I wiggle on the harnesses and pigtails of all the sensors. I have wiggled and jiggled everything and nothing changes. Turn off truck go inside for an hour and then...

Rough running 7.3 and lacking power

Nobody has any ideas hey. This site used to be the best to help me fix my truck but for this old platform I guess no one really pays much attention to it any more. I know it's a tough one. I might have to simplify it and do the Cummins swap thing. I know, I know let the flaming...

Rough running 7.3 and lacking power

So my 97 has been rough running last 2 yrs and it's getting worse. I have AE and have run the typical tests. I buzzed test injectors and all sounded the same. I just changed oil with no change I used Rotella 15w40. I failed the cylinder contribution test on cylinders 1,2,6+8 and got a 1298 idm...

    HEC or VSM??

Ok new door switches and still have problems. Old switches ohmed out fine and the ds front door was previously replaced before I owned it. So back to ford it went and they spent all day and had their "best" guys on it. So it's fixed. Turns out the new VSM ford supplied needs to have the switches...

    HEC or VSM??

Next update Ok guys took to ford today. Got a new VSM. It was 150 more than one from the wrecker and carries a 3 yr nation wide warranty install and programming included. If I got a used one, no warranty and I would have to do this all over again if it fails. They put in a new VSM in and fixed...

    HEC or VSM??

UPDATE: Ok got back my cluster, it was tested and passed before they sent it back of course. Didn't work tho. Still have all my issues. I had doubts it was the cluster but was my cheapest option for troubleshooting. When the cluster failed in my 02 lariat the windows and radio wouldn't work at...

    HEC or VSM??

Ok finally had some time between work and Christmas. The interior light officially quit today and will not work with the switch anymore. Got the AE back on and spent more than a minute looking. The u1950 is consistently under the HEC accompanied by a u1262 also a HEC code so I'm gonna pull the...

    HEC or VSM??

I agree but what can I do? I don't wanna live with it like this. It's 150$ to diagnose. 150$ to re and re the VSM. 150$ to program the VSM. Then 300$ to buy the VSM. And hopefully the mechanic is competent so it gets fixed right the first time. Living in Canada I got taxes on top of that...
