Biggest thing I have noticed between them is the wiring grommet passes through on the earlier models and they plug in on 08 and newer. There is a connector where the wiring passes through.

I don't thing its hardly possible to crack the head with a brass style pipe thread fitting. The fitting would break before you could tighten enough to crack the head.

I don't really recall. I thought it was a 66 but maybe it was a 68 and went to 71??

Have a 2011 6.7 that will pop the 40a fuse for the starter relay. Has done it 4 times in the last 3 months. Visual inspect could see no issue with circuit CDC25. Anyone see anything like this. Or looking at starter. Wouldn't believe it to be starter cause the fused side only covers the solenoid.
